The news comes after the first season smashed records for the streamer, with each episode on track to score more than three million viewers. That’s massive figures for a British entertainment show, and it will be no surprise that Amazon has ordered more episodes.
A source told In Your Streams: “Last One Laughing UK is the number one show on Prime Video in Britain and has quickly built a massive following, largely down to word of mouth.
Millions of viewers agree the show is a breath of fresh air, a joy to watch and most of all, absolutely hilarious”.
Fronted by Jimmy Carr with Roisin Conaty, the series features ten comedians who spend a day together a in a studio, reminiscent of the ‘Big Brother’ house. The objective? To be the last person to laugh. The comedians in the first series are: Bob Mortimer, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett and Richard Ayoade.
The first run also features a number of special guests including Alison Hammond, Danny Dyer and Nick Mohammed.

Usually when I make a TV show with 10 brilliant comics, I’m expecting everyone to have a bloody good laugh - but not in this series. The last one laughing wins. Last One Laughing UK is the latest adaptation of the successful Amazon Original series from Japan entitled Documental, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo, where Matsumoto leads 10 comedians betting their own money in an anything goes “battle of laughter behind closed doors.”
The fan-favourite Last One Laughing format became the most watched title of all time on Prime Video in France, Germany and Italy, and had hugely successful local versions in over 20 territories. Local celebrity hosts include Graham Norton (Ireland), Jay Baruchel (Canada), Eugenio Derbez (Mexico), Fedez (Italy), Michael "Bully" Herbig (Germany), Rebel Wilson (Australia) and Trevor Noah (South Africa).
The second season of ‘Last One Laughing UK’ is likely to include a mix of returning comics from season one and a new batch of top comedic talent.
